treecli puts the best image, video, music and voice models
— from OpenAI, Google, xAI, ByteDance, Kling, Suno, ElevenLabs and
more — behind one command line and one MCP server. No keys to juggle. Quote a price, set a ceiling, pay per use.

takes reference media
(--reference @file, a URL, or run:<id>).
Prices are for one generation with default settings and load from the
live catalog (JSON,
no account needed); --quote gives the exact price.
04 · CHAINS
Chain models together
Every run has an id. Hand it to the next model with
--reference run:<id> and the output becomes the input.
Still frame to moving shot to sound, in four commands.

Local files work too: --reference @photo.png uploads first.
Voice cloning, music covers and video foley take references the same way.
05 · PRICING
You set the ceiling. Nothing runs past it.
Quote first
--quote prints the exact price for that model, duration
and resolution without generating anything.
Hard cap
Every generation needs --max-price-cents. If the quote
is higher, the run is refused before a cent moves.
Card or Bitcoin
Pay in USD through Stripe metered billing, or in Bitcoin SV.
Pick per command with --payment usd|bsv or set a
default with billing mode.
Daily limit per app
When you approve an agent or app, pick how much it may spend in any
24 hours ($1, $5, $20, $100 or no limit). Calls past it are refused.
Safe retries
Uncertain result? Re-send with the same --quote-id and
--id and the server treats it as the same job, not a
new charge.
06 · AGENTS
Give your agent the studio
Paste this into Claude Code, Codex or any coding agent. It installs
treecli, learns the catalog, and asks before it spends.
Set up Treechat AI generation (treecli) in this project:
1. Install it:
curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Knovigator/treecli/main/install.sh | sh
and make sure ~/.local/bin is on PATH.
2. Run `treecli connect` and give me the link it prints. I'll sign in or sign up,
check the code, choose a spending limit and approve. Never ask for my password.
3. Run `treecli onboard agents --write` and `treecli skills install all --claude`
(or --codex / --pi).
4. Run `treecli generate actions --verbose` to learn the models.
5. Before any generation, run it with --quote, show me the price, and use
--max-price-cents no higher than what I approve.
If you are an agent reading this page
Get your person connected with treecli connect: it
prints a link and a code for them to approve in a browser (sign-in,
sign-up and card setup happen there). Never ask for their password.
The full catalog with list prices is JSON at
https://api.treechat.com/api/v1/ai/catalog, no account
needed. This page is also at /ai.md.
Discover models with
treecli generate actions --verbose; inspect one with
treecli generate describe <tag>
before calling it.
Always pass --max-price-cents at or below the amount
your user approved. Use --quote to get that number. The
connection also has a daily limit; a refused call says
daily_limit_reached.
Pass settings with repeatable --input key=value or a
JSON --settings object; audio and video take
--duration, music takes --instrumental.
The hosted MCP server is
https://api.treechat.com/mcp (OAuth).
treecli mcp serve exposes the same operations locally.
07 · FAQ
Questions
What is Treechat AI?
Treechat AI is one command-line tool (treecli) and one MCP server that run 38 frontier image, video, music and voice models, including GPT Image, Nano Banana, FLUX.2, Kling, Sora, Seedance, H3, Suno and ElevenLabs. Your agent or script writes the files straight to disk.
Do I need a subscription?
No. You pay per generation, in USD by card (Stripe, pay as you go) or in Bitcoin SV. There is no monthly fee and no provider API keys to manage.
How much does a generation cost?
Each model has its own price, from a few cents for an image to about a dollar for a high-end video clip with default settings. The live catalog at api.treechat.com/api/v1/ai/catalog lists every model's price, and treecli generate <model> --quote gives the exact price before anything runs.
How do I connect my AI agent?
Have the agent install treecli and run treecli connect. It prints a link: you sign in or sign up, check the code, choose a daily spending limit and approve. Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and other MCP clients can instead connect to https://api.treechat.com/mcp.
How do I control what an agent spends?
Every generation is quoted first and needs a price cap (--max-price-cents); anything over the cap is refused before you are charged. Each connected app also has a daily limit you choose when you approve it: $1, $5, $20, $100 or none.
Where do generated files go?
treecli generate saves them to the path you give with --out. Nothing is posted anywhere unless you ask for it.
